Thank you to Ruth Gollnick for her work on the Sunshine Committee for the past several years. Kris Lindsay is taking over Ruth’s job. The ABC committee is looking for a new chairperson. Please let Kathy Doman know if you are interested.

Please return your finished fan blocks by the February meeting. Start planning on quilts to enter in the Quilt Show. Your entry form is in your new quilt folder. Don’t forget they can be judged or non-judged. Also, start selling your raffle tickets now.

Freedom Quilts – They are looking for quilters of any level to make single block quilt blocks for their quilts, or to make gold star quilts to be given to the families of the fallen soldiers. Blocks need to be 12 1/2 inches (12 inch finished), and in red, white, and blue materials. They are meeting:
Jan. 17 at 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
They meet at the American Legion Post #36
Mutual Mall Building on Main St. in West Bend.

Operation Snuggles: Three more units will be leaving between and May next year. Kris still needs quilts for most of the following children:

Age 5: three boys
Age 7: three boys
Age 10: three boys
Age 12: 2 girls
Age 16: one boy
Age 17: one boy
Age 18: one male

Kris has been batting for Snuggles quilts. Please let her know what size you need and she will bring it to the next guild meeting. Please think about making wounded Soldiers’ quilts (they should be at least 70 by 86). Kris Lindsay and Kathy Doman will be collecting the quilts as well as Ye Olde School House, Material Matters, and Royce Quilting. And sized quilt will be accepted.
